Bring your gardening ambitions and questions! We'll sit down and hash out the specifics of your dream garden design. We'll discuss what all goes into the planning process and walk you through each theoretical step of the journey. Leave with a workable design for your own space.

Seed and Plant Swap
Followed by Starting Seedlings Workshop
Bring seeds and plants to share for our second annual swap! Stay afterward to learn how to start and care for your own seedlings indoors. Get an early start on the season by tending your young plants inside before the weather warms enough to bring them outdoors. Each plant family has its own timing and nuances, and we'll demonstrate the differences between some of them. Bring your garden plans, and we'll help you start some of your own seedlings to take home with you!

Let's tackle an on-the-ground project and demonstrate with real life experience how to start a garden bed from scratch. From mapping out a location and collecting the necessary materials, to actually installing new garden beds using multiple techniques, this is a good workshop for experiential learners!

Garden Care and Composting 101
Your garden beds are established and planted - now what? Don't let your hard-earned work go to the wayside! Join us to learn practical skills to care for your garden and keep it thriving and producing all season long. We'll offer resources, tips and tricks, and sustainable techniques that we've learned along the way, to help you get the most out of your garden. We'll demonstrate pest and disease management tools, and walk you through basic composting set ups and management. Reduce your waste footprint by recycling organic matter back into useful nutrition and structure for your soil! Your plants will thank you.

Kids and Parents in the Garden!
Bring your child(ren), (grand)parent(s), guardian, or mentor our for an intergenerational afternoon in the garden. We will have some fun activities planned this day, to ignite curiosity and wonder, and to explore the myriad connections with the natural elements! Mostly, this is meant to be a regenerative day in the garden, a time for appreciation, cooperation, and enjoyment for all ages. A look back to the simple pleasures of life. A snack will be provided.

Harvest Potluck
We celebrate this time of year, a time for gathering up the harvest, storing some of it away for the winter, and preparing for things to die back and slow down. We invite you to gather around our hearth for a cheerful evening of community, conversation, warmth, and of course, food! Please bring a dish to share if you are able, and get your appetites ready!

Fall Workshop
It's time to winterize our gardens and wrap up for the season. If you don't mind chilly temperatures, come learn about the process of putting gardens "to bed" for the season. It's time for planting too, including garlic and perennial flower bulbs. We'll also touch on season extension techniques, and how you can potentially continue growing through the cold months, or indoors under lights, as well as seed saving, and food preservation.
